My house had a woodburning fireplace when I first bought it, but I switched over to a Heatilator gas insert after trying wood for about two winters. I was working, so I never got the fire going well in the morning before we left and it was cold when we got home. We only got about a cord of wood a year. Now, nobody sells cords of wood. I'm not sure where people are getting their wood now. I'm interested in a pellet stove or something that will allow me to heat and eat.
