no naked fires while you sleep!!!

naked fires in a fireplace are very, very dangerous and frankly, 70% of the heat goes up the chimney.

we basically have a woodstove with a glass front jammed into our fireplace. it is self contained and has a special stove-pipe that runs the length of the chimney (less chance of chimney fires.) it's technical name is a wood burning fireplace insert.
