The book was so different from the TV series! The biggest reveal of the book was eliminated and a major character was extremely changed in the TV series (I only watched S1). I loved the book. It was a real page turner. I loved both the Will and Angie characters in the book as well as their relationship and history. By the end of reading the book, I kept thinking it could have been such a good series if HBO or FX or AMC or almost anyone other than ABC made it.
Bottom line: I’m not about to plow through 15 Will Trent novels but I will pick one up from time to time and read them. However, after reading this book, I have no interest in watching further seasons of the ABC TV series. I understand and often don’t mind changes made when a novel is made into a movie or TV series. But this was too much.
