I had wondered about whether Target could pull up the transaction

As I mentioned, I'm almost positive gcf used cash; in the past, she's had a few problems with impulse spending and, like me, she finds it helps her curb that impulse if she leaves the card at home and takes only the amount of cash she can afford to spend. But still, I feel like if she went to that particular Target and told them what day (and in her case, she probably even knows what time, or at least can guess within a few hours) she was in, she should be able to find out if she was ever charged for the card. I figure one of two things happened: either the cashier didn't take the right steps to activate the card or else there was a machine malfunction that caused the card to never be activated. I'm reasonably sure gcf would've noticed if her bill that day was $25 less than it should've been.
