for some kind of (paid) retirement. Bff loves to complain about police officers being allowed to retire after 20 years due to "the trauma they witness on the job"; she feels nurses see just as much, if not more, trauma but they're not allowed to retire with full benefits after 20 years.

I'm probably going to be working till I'm 70 too unless I meet and marry a multi-millionaire before then.
