So my Guardians didn't look too good in the first two games of the series (and the Yankees did). I was expecting us to absolutely spank the NYY in game three and...we didn't. We had the lead, lost the lead, then won the game in thrilling fashion in extra innings.

But the worst part of all? I didn't see a single pitch. I worked tonight till 7:00, which means I didn't get out until 7:15 (cleaning, waiting for the lead to shut down the registers), and I didn't get home until 7:35. I'd checked my phone and saw that, at that point, we were losing in the top of the 9th. I figured I could at least watch the bottom of the 9th...but when I got home, I discovered we had no cable or internet. As I don't have unlimited data on my phone, I didn't try to tune in via the cell. The cable and internet apparently went out shortly after 6:00 PM and thankfully came back on around 10:00 PM. A neighbor texted me to see if we had power; her next door neighbors did not, and she herself had no internet. Also, bff was without power from around 3:30-5:30. The weather was fine...not sure what caused the power outage(s).

BUT...the Guardians won. And the woman I work with who likes to clean out her closets and bring everyone clothes ("M", the 84 year old) brought in more stuff, so I got a "new" sweater, a new 3/4 length sleeve top and maybe a poncho (I'm still debating if I can pull off a poncho). And I made some yummy stuffed shells from not one but several ingredients in the fridge that were on the verge of going bad and wasn't adversely affected <g>. And as I was driving home, I had an amazing view of the full--and seemingly closer to Earth than normal?--moon. And tomorrow I'm going to my favorite coffee shop for breakfast with the neighbor who texted to see if we had power, then afterwards we're hitting up the discount grocery store, one of my new favorite places to go. Life is good!
