The contractor subcontracted for the plumbing work. The work was done...but I'm not 100% sure about it.
Before the work was done, the new plumber said that the lines were 1 1/2 inches and the washer needs at least 2" lines. He did the work to have 2" lines run to the 1 1/2" lines. I've contacted my plumber to see if this will work or if I'm waiting for things to back up or flood.
I have the washer and a sink on the same line. The washer is not in the dream/final location. The "dream location" is a room that still needs to be added and may not be added for several years or may not be added. We're working with the existing space (15' X 19'); but I hate the idea having to invest a lot in something we're going to rip out later or that we'll have to do some kind of strange dance to use. Hopefully I'll feel more confident after the meeting on Monday afternoon with my regular plumber.
