The electricians came back to finish their work, left around noon, then the person over the contractor who is working the project came to pre-inspect(?) the work so far. He followed/traced the electrical lines to make sure that he could explain which lines went where and how things are supposed to work, followed along the plumbing lines, stared at the line into the toilet line, checked all the outlets (and that they were in plastic cases (except for an old box for a light that was removed)), and pointed at all the boxes, outlets, switch boxes, supports for the can lights, and other minor things that need to pass inspection. The one old box for an old light will need to be grounded. The rest don't need that.

The guys who did most of the construction will come in tomorrow and spray some expansion foam into all the holes and along every seam that leads into the ceiling. It would keep a fire that started in the new room from spreading to the roof and causing the entire roof to collapse and the house to burst into serious flames. He hopes that they can do all the spraying before the INSPECTOR comes to look at the site.

After the inspector shows up and approves, the team will be able to install the toilet, and the project will go forward. In theory, the doors will be installed next week. So I raced out and bought two dog doors so they can be installed in the doors before the doors are installed.

With the doors installed, I'll have a fully enclosed space. Really!
