The guy came today and did more work on the drywall...Let's wait some more. This time, he closed the double doors that lead to the backyard. The side door was already closed. It's much easier to get the dogs to use their door when the double door isn't open wide and tempting them.

Nobody else has come to the house...especially not the plumber. <SIGH> You'd think the other team, the non-drywall guys, could work on taking out the wrong door that leads into the kitchen (it has two holes for hardware and it only needs one), install the new door (with only one hole for hardware), or put in the hardware on the side door or double doors. Maybe they're waiting on those doors because they plan to key all of them at the same time.

I'm looking forward to the electrical work, but the sockets still have globs of mud on them that have to be cut out once they're dry. Again with the waiting.

I talked with my daughter about some items in the room. She'd like a lift top coffee table (I just found out what they're called) so she can have a desk for her laptop work and not have the table always up and in the way. We've found a sofa that I think we'll like. I told her that we have to get the lower cabinet(s) with the countertop so we can get the sink and backsplash with a reverse osmosis system. We can't do any of that until we're done with the room (drywall, paint, tiling), but we can put off getting the window shades for the windows for a while. I doubt it will be done by Christmas.
