an Oscar nomination and so is Jesse Eisenberg’s original screenplay. Culkin and Eisenberg play cousins who tour Poland together to honor their recently deceased beloved grandmother who grew up in Poland and was a Holocaust survivor. This movie had the perfect balance of comedy and drama. It’s a heartfelt exploration of intergenerational trauma. Good performances by the whole cast but Culkin was just amazing. I highly recommend this film. It felt good to be in a theater that I’d say was 90% full.
