After watching yet another disappointing Browns' loss, I headed out to a town two towns over to take advantage of good sales at Bath and Body Works and at JoAnn Fabric. There were two different pizza places, barely two miles apart, celebrating Pizza Week; pizza place #1 was offering any of their medium specialty pizzas for $9 while pizza place #2 offered a medium pizza with one topping of your choice. I got the Thai chicken pizza from place #1; it was a bit of a misnomer since it had teriyaki sauce rather than a Thai sauce, but it was sooooooo good, and the folks there were SO nice, so I forgave them <g>. They also gave me a coupon for $5 off a later order...I didn't tell them it'll likely be at least a month before I can even THINK of pizza again 😛 When I placed an order for a simple pepperoni pizza at place #2, the young man initially told me it would be $11.99, even though I'd specifically said "the Cleveland Pizza Week special". When I reiterated I wanted the $9 pizza week special, he was confused; he'd never heard of that. Um...really? Nobody else had called the place this entire week wanting the special? It got even more interesting when I pulled up and there was a HUGE sign on the door advertising the special. But in the end, it was fine; I got my special price, and my pepperoni pizza was yummy.
I had pizza for dinner tonight, I put slices in the fridge for two more meals in the upcoming days and I froze the rest. It'll probably be in the freezer till at least 2025 <g>.
