I was already a Tom Hopper fan coming into the show, from his role on "Black Sails", but he didn't get the best character. By the time the show was made, Luther's whole persona was becoming an out-dated stereotype that viewers were pushing back on -- the hot, straight, white man who is "the leader". So then they turned him into more of a dopey, comedic character that also wasn't great. But he did his best. The male stripper thing was kinda funny. I did love him and Sloane because it was nice seeing someone choose him, unlike how it felt like Allison just used him to make herself feel better.

I love all the cast interviews. You could tell they all really got along well which is great to see. Robert Sheehan, tho, he can tell the wildest stories. There was this one he was telling about being at a comicon and a fan asked him to eat raw eggs with them and he was like "Of course I did it. So we cracked open the eggs and a Power Ranger filmed us". That man lives a fun life.🤣🤣

* one thing I always wondered: why did Sir Reginald make the two kids with the lamest superpowers--super strength and, uh, good aim?--the leader and 2IC of the group? Unless he went strictly by birth order which, since all were born on the same day, would come down to a matter of hours at best.

I kind of wondered if the powers were random? The marigold just ensured they would have a power but Reginald didn't get to pre-decide what the power would be. Something similar happened in the TV show "The 4400" when it was figured out what was giving people powers they could replicate it but whatever power the person got was out of their control.

** another headscratcher: the only power Luther got from the marigold was super strength. His massive size came from the injection of Martian ape blood he received after being severely wounded in a battle. So why did drinking marigold in season four make him part ape again?

That one made no sense at all. The ape body was a side affect, not his original power.
