For years, we had a KFC right in town, then it closed and they opened

a KFC/Taco Bell. The Taco Bell side was always more popular though, and even though they were in the same building, employees worked for either KFC or TB; there was no crossover (except maybe when it came to cleaning the lobby and bathroom). Eventually that closed as well, and the next nearest KFC, one town over, also closed.

Right now, it seems like they're opening a Raising Cane's in almost every town (except mine). I've eaten at one twice; the chicken fingers were fine (no other chicken on the menu, though you could get the fingers on some bread as a sandwich) but I was unimpressed by the fries and slaw and a little annoyed at the lack of other side dishes. I went through the drive-thru once and got just chicken fingers...it was, like, $8 for three chicken fingers, and that was a couple years ago, so I'm sure it's even more expensive now.
