went there all the time. We still go there on the anniversary of her death and her birthday in her memory.

Hee! When I was a kid, I had such weird taste. I was a pretty picky eater but there were things most kids didn't like that I was fine with. Coleslaw (and peas) was one of those things. Then some time in my early teens, I stopped liking coleslaw. I'm back to liking it...mostly...but I prefer a more vinegar-y coleslaw as opposed to a creamy one. I make two exceptions to this; first, we have a small chain restaurant in the area called The Brew Kettle that adds blue cheese to their coleslaw, and it's a game changer. My second exception: I like creamy coleslaw on a hot dog with BBQ sauce. A local place used to call this "Kansas City-style" but really, KC style hot dogs are topped with sauerkraut and Swiss cheese.
