packages safely without them being sitting ducks for porch/lobby pirates). I do a lot of online shopping and I’ve never had a package stolen. The UPS store is right around the corner from my apartment building. My sister, who lives on the same block, and I share it and split the cost to rent it.

If I remember correctly, every few years we both have to bring in new ID to reconfirm our identity and addresses. I think this has something to do with laws that aim at trying to make it harder for PO boxes to be used for criminal activity. I think I once knew exactly why I have to do this and I never minded doing it. But maybe I should revisit it?

In related news, before I put paper cartons in recycling, I always remove all labels with my name and UPS store address and box number because I don’t want anyone using my name and box/account there for anything, especially not for criminal activity.
