No access for the dogs until tomorrow evening, because the patio has been repoured after the old (poured and in place less than three weeks) patio was jackhammered out so the room could pass inspection (along with some other corrections (NEVER hiring them again) that had to be made prior to the reinspection). Then the City was delaying the approval of the plans. Finally, poured and setting. It's got to set, untouched and without a single footstep or pawprint, until tomorrow evening. The dogs will have to use the side yard for their business and they don't like it.
Tomorrow, nobody is doing any work on the yard; but the new washer and dryer are supposed to be delivered. The previously loved washer was running, but no well. Okay, but nothing wonderful. Its dryer friend that I got at the same time was a totally different story. Between squealing/chattering like Flipper and taking six or more cycles/restarts to have clothes that weren't that damp...yeah, it was past its last legs. So I finally committed and ordered a new one. They will leave as a happy couple. I'm getting a washer with an impeller or agitator and a dryer to go with it. I don't have a time, but they should be here tomorrow and running by tomorrow evening. The washer and dryer being finicky is what's slowing me down on my cleaning out of the spare bedroom. I have a lot of extra blankets and stuff that I want to wash before donating to a local thrift store. They're piled in the floor of the second bedroom and one of the dogs is using them as a bed. Hopefully, they'll be washed soon and out of the house.
Yesterday, I placed the order for the countertops for the cabinets that I'd ordered last Friday. No due date for the cabinets, so the countertops are on hold. I looked at the order the store typed up and it has the wrong address on it!!!!! I went to the store this morning to get that fixed. I'm generous, but I'm not that generous.
Friday will be the delivery of the stuff needed to start on the cover to the patio. Monday the construction starts. It should be done in about two weeks.
We're taking a break after the patio and cover are done. Then we'll work on the landscaping. The gap will be the installation of the cabinets, reverse osmosis system, sink, water line across the house, and the countertop. I'll also get an electrician to run the power to put in three ceiling fans and some exterior lights on the pillars.
