today. The one in the town to the west of me, not the one in the town north of me; the latter is rather small and lacking while the former is much bigger. Now that JoAnn Fabrics is (all but) gone, I need a new source for beads, and the store north of me has almost none. But the one west of me has a large, very nice selection...and they're pricier than JoAnn (and Hobby Lobby). I saw a string of cracked quartz beads that would be perfect for finishing a necklace I'm making but they're $8 and that's $4 more than I was willing to spend. Now usually when I go to the north-of-me Michaels, I get a coupon at checkout that's good for 40% off which...close enough. Today was my first time at west-of-me Michael's in months; they've done some remodeling and took out all the cashier stations, putting in self-check kiosks instead. When I went to use one, it wouldn't let me continue till I joined their loyalty rewards program, which was only my phone # and e-mail, but it's already generated several e-mails *sigh*. When I was done purchasing the few clearance items I'd found, I got my receipt...no coupon. Luckily, one of the e-mails has a 50% a single purchase coupon, so the next time I have some time to go up there, I'll get the beads I want.
Man, I already miss JoAnn Fabrics...
