It turned into a bit of a nightmare about a week into it, after the demo, because the plumber was using the wrong size pipes for the washer and the guy who was ordering things didn't get doors right repeatedly. I was happy when the actual construction was done.
At this point, we're making it livable and homey. We're picking out furniture, buying little things (about to order a digital clock to hang over the door(?) after trying some tiny ones around the room which didn't work well), but trying not to get it to busy/crowded because the cabinets are supposed to arrive in two weeks.
We'd dreamt (Microsoft or whatever grammars this page (Grammarly?) doesn't recognize it) of keeping it as a clean, co-shared space (not mine or hers, so reset every day), but it's not working well. My daughter had planned to remove the rust from a patio dining set we'd bought years ago on Facebook for $40, but we may just lightly remove the major rust areas, prime and paint it versus remove all the paint, prime, and repaint it, then get fresh vinyl for it. Some of the vinyl is giving up. We're getting a bar-height patio set for the...patio, a bistro set to place near her door, and will toss the old patio set out in the yard near the future firepit or near the fake grass hangout area. We're accepting our limitations. Still looking for a painter.
