in the (inner) white of my left eye. I've had this happen a couple times in the past (as has Dad, so there's probably a hereditary link there)...it's not serious, it's not painful and it doesn't affect either my eyesight or my eye movement. It just looks really, really gross. Usually it takes about 4-5 days to clear up, which means for the next few shifts at work, the poor customers are going to have to put up with me looking a little like something out of a horror show. Something very well dressed out of a horror show <g>.
It's funny...I feel like my bloody eye (white) is really, really obvious but if my customers noticed, they didn't say anything. Neither did my store manager, but I suspect she noticed but didn't say anything. She values her own privacy and tends not to ask a lot of personal questions. Now B (Big Grandma Energy) *did* notice after a few minutes; she was super solicitous and seemed to be having a touch of trouble understanding that my eye doesn't hurt, nor is my vision compromised (though since we see with our pupils, why should it be?).
