Things are lining up!
Yesterday 16 (counted them repeatedly) items arrived at the house - CABINETS I'd ordered cabinets for the new room, but there was no installation plan. I know I didn't order this as a DIY project. I called Lowe's, they made a few calls, and a guy called me (I don't answer unknown numbers...who does?), then sent a text asking me to call him back about the installation. He offered to install them Monday, but I said that Monday was busy, so he'll be here Tuesday morning. It's going to be a one-day job installing all the cabinets!
He couldn't install the cabinets on Monday because the gutters are being installed!!!!! It's actually gutters and a water tank (1600 gallons).
The gutters couldn't be scheduled until I was sure the paint job would be completed. Today the paint job should be finished. It's a good coat of primer and the brown coat of paint that matches the wall of the garage (also being painted for the first time in years) and the siding of the new room. Just picked up two more gallons of paint, in case two five-gallon buckets wasn't enough.
I arranged for my solar guys to come back to the house (third time's the charm) to work on a reporting issue with the system. A guy has been out here fixing it twice and it's still being silly. Since they'll be here, I'm hoping (for what it's worth) that the solar and gutter guys can come to an agreement about where to place the water tank. I plan to have some batteries added and they have to be a certain distance from the batteries. Whatever happens happens.
After the cabinets are installed, I'll contact the countertop people so we can have a template done for the granite countertops. They have to have holes for the sink's faucets and the reverse osmosis system. The garbage disposal has a Wi-Fi control system, so it doesn't need a hole in the granite.
Looking forward to loading stuff into the cabinets. Planning to get some more patio furniture so I can relax for a bit.
So far, so fabulous.
