to read it way back when...I just checked Goodreads and gave it two stars in 2013--must have read it right after moving to Bilbao around the time I read a lot better stuff (Bilbao's library had an awesome selection of books in English (and even better in Spanish of course)). I didn't remember anything about it from your description, but I think I can skip a re-read :)

I don't think it's a vow of "doing better" when it comes to reading btw! It's about whatever captures your interest.
