Omni Loop (2024) is a mix of Tuesday, Groundhog Day and Donnie Darko. A woman (Mary Louise Parker!) has a black hole in her chest, but keeps going back in time a week to try to extend her life. She recruits Ayo Edebiri to help her investigate the pills she takes to go back in time. It's weird, a bit too long, but worth the watch. (Hulu)

On Swift Horses (2024). IMDB synopsis: Muriel (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and her husband Lee (Will Poulter) are about to begin a bright new life, which is upended by the arrival of Lee's brother (Jacob Elordi). Muriel embarks on a secret life, gambling on racehorses and discovering a love she never thought possible.
Actuality? Lee's brother goes to Vegas and begins a homosexual relationship, whereas Muriel's gambling leads to her explore her own sexuality with another woman. It was well shot and well acted. (Library DVD)

Reds: The classic 1981 (and very long movie) about a radical journalist who becomes involved in the Communist revolution in China. It's definitely worth the watch (Kanopy (free streaming service available with most library cards)

Mama no enRedes: A dumb but fun Spanish romcom about a mother who goes on a Tinder-like app and finds herself dating three men, much to the horror of her 20-something old children who are trying to stop all the relationship. The Navarra scenery was the best part, but I also don't mind stupid Spanish romcoms from time to time. (It was stupid but fun). (Kanopy)
