So the dad taking his daughter to a concert is actually a serial killer and the whole concert is being used by the FBI to capture him but in what world would that happen? Who'd lay a trap for a dangerous serial killer at a concert full of tween girls?
The dad conveniently manages to talk to all the right people at all the right times to manipulate all the situations, even getting his daughter backstage to meet the singer. And he gets the singer alone to reveal he will murder his next victim via his phone if she doesn't help them escape. Yeah, right, like her agent or her bodyguards would allow her to be alone with a strange man at a concert laid as a trap for a serial killer!
But through a series of utterly stupid events, the singer takes him and his daughter back to their house and then goes inside for some pie in which she eventually exposes him and they run outside and the house is surrounded by the cops and he's caught, but wait! He'd previously dug an escape tunnel through the foundation of his house! And he did it in his freaking kitchen and no one in his family has ever noticed it before? Like, when did he do it? How did he do it? He's a grown adult man, that is a lot of tunnel to dig for him to fit through and it'd have to be re-enforced so it wouldn't cave in the first time a good rain softened the ground outside. But, yeah, there's a tunnel his kitchen that would've taken a lot of time and work to build but no one noticed and it ends in his neighbor's backyard and apparently his neighbor never noticed just a big old man shaped tunnel emerging in their yard?
But wait, there's more! He escapes through his tunnel and takes the singer hostage in her limo because, well, none of the dozens of cops surrounding his place took note of the limo, I guess. Through more stupidity the singer escapes and he goes back to his house to confront his wife who he knows must have tipped the police to him. Now, I know what you're thinking -- if the Feds have ID'ed him as killer then wouldn't they be all over his house searching it right now? Haha, silly you. That would make sense.
It would seem his wife got suspicious of him after a lie he told and she followed him to one of the multiple houses he owns (on a fireman's salary? he owns several houses on the salary of a first responder?!) and, anyhow, she figured it out and tipped off the cops that he'd be at this concern for tweens and whatever. She drugs him and the cops come but on the way out with him in cuffs, the Feds kindly allow the serial killer to go hug his daughter and tend to her bike before taking him away only to reveal he stole something off the bike to pick the handcuff keys with! He's free. Foiled again, logic!
