In reply to: LOL. So...it sounds like the Outlet store was pretty fun. You sound a posted by Cassie
You sound a bit iffy on the other potential gig. Although sitting down is better, that's for sure. So I am not sure what to say!

So I have this knee-jerk reaction to learning something new that's important. And that reaction is "I can't do that". I had this thought when I was learning the register at Chico's. I had this thought as I was learning how to do the locates (fulfilling online orders). I had this thought as I was being taught the steps I need to take to close the stores down. All of which I eventually mastered, so these thoughts aren't necessarily true.

BUT...

Honestly, when it comes to work, I'm more a worker bee than a leader. I like repetition. I like knowing what's coming. I like my days to be mostly cut and paste. I like having someone else to foist a problem on. I like not having to put too much thought into a job or not having to take a lot of time to be comfortable with what I do (the interviewer told me they wouldn't expect me to be up to speed for at least 6 months). And I feel I'd be more OK with the learning curve it it was something I truly enjoyed or at least could be passionate about...this job isn't that.

But at least it wouldn't be selling increasingly more expensive clothes that are increasingly less well made to women who absolutely don't need one more piece of clothing. I'm finding that increasingly gross (and I have at least one co-worker who agrees).
