I’m nearing the end of round two of antibiotics and the infection has pretty much cleared. Now I’m healing the wounds that the infection caused on a large part of my calf and the outside of my ankle. Slowly but steadily, that skin is healing. I’m still changing bandages and slathering on antibacterial cream twice a day but can soon start doing that once a day. My leg is still pretty bruised and swollen but getting better day by day. I saw my doctor last Thursday and see him again this Thursday. So medical eyes have been watching for any bad signs.
I’ve pretty much been healing steadily but who knew it would be so slow?! And who knew a bug bite could cause so much pain. The pain was excruciating for the first two weeks and now it is much more tolerable; more intermittent than constant.
I guess I just have to be patient for a while longer. I haven’t even been able to concentrate enough to read. All I can do is watch TV and movies. At least I can get to and fro the bathroom in less than a half hour now.
