I was not prepared for quite how unfinished it was. Clearly the showrunners expected to do another season. Hopefully the movie, done 13 years later, will provide some closure for some of the characters and story arcs left hanging. Really good writing and cast. It’s a shame it was cancelled too soon. I kinda knew that happened but it still felt so abrupt and unfinished and unsatisfying. It probably felt even worse because I watched it while watching Better Call Saul which had a masterful, very satisfying finale. I’ll watch the Deadwood movie soon but I’m not too optimistic.
