this season — coming from behind with a late September hot streak and battling it out with Toronto for first place in the AL East right up until today’s last regular season game. We tied Toronto with our overall W-L record but Toronto won more games against the Yankees so they won the division. Really highlights the importance of winning games against teams in your division.
I’m not complaining though. My Yanks played hard and with heart right up to the last regular season out. It was fun, exciting baseball to watch and we’re going to the postseason again. First up for us is a 3-game wild card series against our arch rivals, the Boston Red Sox. I love our whole team but wow is it fun watching Aaron Judge, become a legend right up there with Babe Ruth, Micky Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra, etc.
