our realtor has a good sense of things and does not think this was done deliberately. We've already encountered outright dishonesty twice during this home search; not sure who the company is (a construction company owns the property), but she tends to refer to them as dumb rather than dishonest. There was another realtor earlier in the process that she considered reporting.
They are losing money on this house. They bought it in May or so at $475,000 to flip it. Should've paid a lot less. They then put a lot of $$ into all the upgrades (which were largely done well, oh, except for the dishwasher not being properly installed and not fully completing the stove installation). Then they're paying mortgage every month.
Not our problem, though!
And that's where we are right now.
TBH I am starting to hesitate on the house. Marty still wants it. We have about five days if we want to pull out.
There is yet another inspection today of the HVAC system. We'll see what that yields, but if they find anything major, we ain't paying to fix it, that's for sure.
