i have very bad arthritis in my toes, 2 bone spurs and the bunion.
Dr says: this is not good and immediately pulls out her script pad to write up a topical...but I can't take ibuprofen or related products because it raises my blood pressure.
So now I have to get arnica gel to massage into the tootsies twice a day, ice at the end of the day, get a toe separator and what can only be called 'ugly as hell' xtra wide sneakers THAT LACE UP with good arch support. yay?
after the inflammation gets better, we'll see if the bone spurs need to be taken out/shaved down but the bunion is the LEAST of her worries right now.
she also said this is something that I'll deal with the rest of my life, and that just sucks. I'll follow her plan for a month and see what happens, but I will keep in mind there are other podiatrists out there who might have different ideas about how to treat this.
