I have Hulu, Nexflix, Paramount/Showtime and HBO Max.
Hulu:
Felicity
Revenge
Angel
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Grey's Anatomy
The Rookie
Of these, I watched the first two seasons of GA many years ago. Then I think I just hit a time in my life when I didn’t have much time to watch TV. I enjoyed it enough at the time but probably not enough for the time commitment it would take to watch 20+ seasons of it.
I watched S1 of Revenge and it was OK until it ended with a copout death. I can’t even remember the details but I hated that show after S1’s ending. The setting was my favorite part. I watched Showtime’s The Affair instead. Loved that show, which had Revenge’s same great setting.
TBH, with few exceptions, I tend to avoid shows that originated on the three dinosaur networks (CBS/NBC/ABC) because they tend to be formulaic and restrained creatively. I keep in mind that there are exceptions though like Twin Peaks and Northern Exposure, both of which I loved. Of old network shows, I do want to watch The West Wing the right way from start to finish. I’ve only sampled random episodes.
First cable and then streaming has really spoiled me. So many great creative shows on those platforms. They’ve made me very resistant to watching many old network shows, including GH, which I stopped watching a few years ago after watching for decades. I just cannot stand the repetitiveness of formula TV anymore, although I do get how comforting it can feel.
Of your suggestions, I think the one I might enjoy is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Maybe Felicity.
