to 2:00, with the sweet spot being around 1:00. When I was growing up, we always had Thanksgiving dinner around 5:00 PM at my aunt's house. Later, when the cousins started having kids and opting to have TG with only their siblings and parents (or at the in-laws' house), we began having TG lunch at Bro's house, usually around 1:00. Still later, for a few years we were attending a free TG meal at a local church, again around 1:00.
Now that I'm thinking about it...for the last few years, it's been Dad and me. Even though Thursdays are one of Dad's nights to cook (Tuesdays being the other), I've cooked a traditional TG meal in the evening. BUT...I *do* like a TG lunch, mainly because you have leftovers for dinner (if you're even still hungry later <g>).
