I have a few out of state online library cards because of better collections(there is a fee but worth it) so I participated in the Charlotte NC everyone read of Meet the Neighbors: Animal Minds and Life in a More-than-Human World by Brandon Keim. Interesting account of animal lives and intelligence.
I also finished Coded Justice by Stacey Abrams. It's one of her Avery Keene series. This one involves corporate corruption, AI and robots run amok. I liked it but it would have better if a little sorter.
Finally I got off the wait list for Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke. Woah! This is about a fake tradwife-Natalie-who is an influencer and actually has two nannies and a lot of help. Suddenly she is thrust into 1855 and has to cope with actual conditions-no electricity, no help. Is this time travel or something else? Natalie is not a likeable character and there's some insight into her past and how she got from being a Harvard freshman to a dubious influencer with a tv show. Still trying to decide about the ending.
