1. Animals subject to human cruelty. If it's (unless a dog or sometimes a cat or other beloved pet) natural causes, I can usually handle it. But if humans are being cruel and cause the animals death...*sigh*

2. I've always been close to animals since I was a kid, not so much with other people.

So I think there is something along the lines of that, if it makes sense.
