my little 6 year old Tux started yowling in the middle of a nap, and when i rushed to him, he could not move.
i swept him up and drove to the emergency vet, and he was yowling the whole way. his heart just stopped and they tried for 15 minutes to bring him back but he was gone.
he was only 6. he was the best cat, with glorious whiskers and he loved his people. he snuggled against my chest every afternoon and every night. every morning he would crawl under the covers for a snuggle.
he loved his food and his treats even more.
i don't know if there is a well deep enough for these tears.
