I picked them up off his floor and tossed them in the wash. So maybe if he had been putting them in the hamper he'd have taken the cards out. But I hope it does teach him a bit of a lesson, though I hate that it was so harsh on him right now.
Also I am terrible at checking pockets. I've washed so many things...hell, yesterday I reached in my work pants and found a Sharpie that I know I did not put in my pants yesterday, lol. It had definitely been washed, maybe more than once! Still worked though!
