Sonny shuddered as he awoke. Sweat beaded on his forehead and coated his naked chest. The dream of Alexis' death frightened him to the core. He glanced across the bed. Alexis lay, clad only in his satin sheets, sleeping peacefully. He reached out and touched her warm, smooth skin. He needed to reasure himself that she was really there with him. She opened her eyes and smiled at his touch.

''Did you have a bad dream?''

''The worst, I dreamt that Carly was alive and screwing up our lives again.''

''She really did a number on you didn't she? I swear if she wasn't dead already, I'd kill her myself for all the pain she put you through.''

''The dreams will fade. Every second I spend with you, makes Carly and all her lies and schemes less painful. I think once we dump her ashes in the river, I'll feel a lot better.''
