Zander aims the gun at Alexis

Sonny crouched low, covering Alexis with his body. He held a cell phone in one hand and a 9mm in the other. Zander finished reloading and raised his pistol. He turned toward Alexis. There was rage and insanity in his eyes. He aimed the gun and his trigger finger twitched. Sonny had no choice. He fired his weapon. Several shots tore into Zander's chest.

Zander froze and looked down at his blood soaked shirt. Slowly he reached out to Sonny. ''Father?''

''I'm sorry!'' Sonny cried as he fired a final shot into Zander's brain. His son crumpled to the ground. Lifeless eyes stared up at him. ''I couldn't let you kill Alexis.''

Sonny dropped the gun and dialed 9-1-1. ''There's been a shooting. Send the paramedics right away. A pregnant woman has been shot! Hurry!'' The phone landed on the floor next to Sonny's gun.

''Alexis! Can you hear me? Help is on the way!''

''How could you kill our son!'' Helena screamed at Sonny.

Helena has a stroke and dies
