Monica exits Alexis' room

Dr. Monica Quartermain quietly closed the door to Alexis' room as Sonny quickly walked up to her.

''How is she?''

''Well, her vitals are good. Actually they're very good! She and that child of hers are very lucky. They could have easily died, but god smiled on us. I think they'll both be fine.''

Sonny couldn't keep his smile off his face. They were going to be fine! ''Can I see her?''

''Well she's still asleep, but I guess it won't hurt. Go ahead.''

''Thank you Monica!'' Sonny beamed, dimples blazing, as he pushed the door open. Alexis lay sleeping in her hospital bed. Her breathing was even and deep. It was good to watch her breathe. He thanked god just for the opportunity to watch her breathe.
