Luke saw the hidden message in Helena's words

“Dammit,” Luke muttered. “I’ll be right back.”

“What?!” Alexis jumped up from the couch, sounding more unnerved than she’d intended. “You’re leaving?”

“Oh Natasha, you always like to keep your men within your grasp, don’t you?” Helena cackled. “Your latest paramour seems quite smitten with you. He went so far as to threaten my life. Not as smart as he is smarmy,” she contended. “But still, he has a certain vulgar charm.”

AJ was growing restless. He took a seat next to Kristina on the couch, glancing at Skye who tried to give him a hopeful smile, but couldn’t quite manage it. He took Kristina’s limp hand in his own, wishing she would respond to his touch, but she didn’t. “I love you,” he whispered. “Just hang onto me,” he implored.

Helena turned her gaze on Luke again. “Shouldn’t you be on your way? Time is running out for our dear Kristina…”

Luke gave Alexis and Jax a rueful look. “I have something she needs,” he explained.

Helena knew he would catch on. “Hurry back, Luke. It’s just not a party without you,” she cooed.

“If you’re not careful, baby, it’ll be your last,” Luke warned her as he left.

What happens next?
Luke returns with the ice princess.
