Monica tells them Nikolas is dead.

Monica says, ''Nikolas didn't make it.'' Alexis burst into tears, and Sonny tries to comfort her. She snatches away from him, claiming this is all his fault. Sonny bewildered by the accusation, says He was only trying to be honest with his son. ''Your honesty has cost Nikolas his life'', yells Alexis. ''You'll rot in hell for this'', she says. Stefan arrives, saying ''You sure will Sonny.'' The lights go out, and a shot is fired.
