Sonny regains consciousness

Sonny kept drifting in and out of consciousness and everytime he awoke Alexis' presence felt stronger. He struggled to rise and felt a gentle touch at his shoulder. He looked up to see a beautiful older woman. The sight of her made him smile. Somehow he felt he was seeing the image of Alexis in her old age. The thought of growing old with her filled his heart with joy. She would be a beauty on their Silver Anniversary! Then he remembered she was dead and his heart broke. Tears filled his eyes, obscuring his vision.

''Alexis, we could have been so good together, if only I wasn't so blind.''

Kristin could see the pain in his eyes. He was in agony over Alexis' death. She gently touched his face, as he blinked to clear his vision and smiled as she silently directed his gaze to the form on the other gurney.

''Alexis!''
