Helena enters

Alexis looked up at the sound of the harsh voice.

''Helena!''

Sonny moved to turn around, but Helena crashed the butt of her revolver into the side of his head. He fell into Alexis' lap, unconcious.

''Natasha! I see you are recovering from your wound. I take it the baby is doing well?''

Alexis reached for Sonny. She heard his shallow breaths and saw a small trickle of blood from the side of his head. ''Get out of here. NOW!'' Her hand inched toward the bed's call button. Helena pressed the revolver to her swelling stomach.

''I wouldn't do that if I were you. Help couldn't come fast enough to save you or your child!''

''What do you want Helena?'' Alexis voice quaked in fear.

''I want to avenge my son! I want you and your spawn dead!'' Helena leveled the gun.

A shot rang out.

Alexis screamed in pain. Helena dropped lifeless in her lap. The combined weight of her dead step-mother and the unconcious Sonny tore at her stitches.

Taggert rushed in and yanked Helena's body to the floor. ''I'm sorry Alexis. I didn't mean to cause you anymore pain.''

''Is she...?''

''Dead?'' Taggert checked her pulse. ''She's dead.''

What happens next?
Sonny regains consciousness
Taggert avenges Deke Woods
