jason inturupts just as they were about 2 kiss goodnight

Jason doubled back to the spot where he had left Jax and Courtney, hoping to catch her alone. Had she really intended to go home with him, or was she just trying to make him jealous, he wondered.

Jax: Courtney, I'm not stupid, you know. I know that you're not over Jason.
Courtney: Jax, I--
Jax: Shh, you don't have to say anything. Look, I really care about you, and I can wait.
Courtney smiles. Jax leans in for a kiss, just as Jason sees them. He accidentally steps on a twig and his presence is known.

Courtney: Jason, I thought you left!
She brushes her hair away from her face.

Jax: Yes, what are you doing here?

Jason glances from Courtney to Jax, and back again, before saying:

What happens next?
''I came to apologize to you two...I hope you'll be happy together.''
''I came to ask Courtney if she will give me another chance.''
