All My Children Update for Friday, 22-Sep-2000

Arlene lays a kiss on Adam while he is resting, but the magic doesn't work. Adam awakes to find Arlene in the room and pushes her off of him. Adam offeres her the $500,000 to get out of his life but Arlene isn't giving up so easily. She tells Adam that she will not leave the marriage without everything she can get. Liza and Tad walk in the hospital room and convince Arlene that she is exhausted and needs to go home to get some rest. Arlene agrees and leaves with Liza and Marian. The mother and daughter team take Arlene home alright, right up to the attic where they decide to lock her up. Arlene asks how long she will be locked up and tells Liza that people will miss her. Marrian tells her to scream as loud as she can cause noone will hear her in the attic. "Cover up and find a nice corner cause this attic is crawling with rats, big ones, and you should feel right at home." Marian tells her as they lock the door and leave. Later they come back with food telling Arlene that in the morning she will have a wonderful surprise in the morning and that she will be indited in singapore for drug smuggling. Marian and Liza tell her that either she can go to singapore or they can kill her. Arlene acts like she doesnt believe them and then decides to call their bluff about poisening her and then eats the soup while Marian and Liza watch. They leave and Arlene begins to get sick wondering whether or not they did poison her.

Jake tires to get Jillian out of the hospital but she won't leave. Jake tells her he wants to be her husband and tells her that she reminds him of Jillians grandmother and then decides to try to walk. Jake stands and Jillian is overjoyed and hugs Jake tight. Jake kisses her on the forehead and pulls her close while Ryan sits in his jail cell.



Greenlea meets Ryan in jail and tells him why she set him up, " You left me in charge of the company while you were out galavanting with your hungarian whore, yes Ryan your secret is out!" Greenlea tells Ryan exactly what happened and how she trashed his apartment and then reveals that O'Doherty works for her grandfather and the money that was invested was her grandfathers!
Greenlea tells him that she wants to hear him say she is sorry and he tells her that she tried to ruin him and the company and there is no way he is going to apologize to her. He tells her he is sorry alright he is sorry he ever met her and doesn't ever want to see her again. Ryan becomes inraged and begins to trash his cell when she leaves telling him that she hopes he thinks of her when he is picking up trash on the side of the street.

Adam asks Tad what he is planning and what they plan to do to him for his crimes. Adam tells him he isn't worried about the DA, but that he is worried about tad. Adam apologizes to tad and tells him that he has been doing a wonderful job at the company and that Liza was brilliant to bring tad in to be a partner. Adam wants Tad to stay on at the company and that he will make sure that his position is going to be secure at the company but Tad is quick and reminds him that he has been ousted by the board. Adam thinks things will go back to the way they were before Stewart disappeared. Tad on the other hand believes things won't. Adam pleads with Tad to let him work alongside them and pleads with Tad to have him reinstated, Tad doesn't give him any straight answers and angers Adam. Adam remembers he doesn't have any cards to play and thanks Tad for his consideration.
