Simone told Mateo not to back away from the investigation. Mateo told Simone how he got all his money and then kissed her on the lips as Zeke watched. Later, Mateo went to the boathouse as instructed, and met up with Roger. When Mateo gave Roger the cash Roger told him that it was too much and to take it back. Mateo says that he wont take it back and that he wants to meet Protues. Roger tells him that cant happen, but Mateo pretty much tells him to make it happen. An upset Haley calls Mateo in the middle of his meeting with Roger and he snaps at her.Hayley's fears grow with Mateo's increasingly odd behavior, and she finally made a tearful call for help. Ryan confronted Adam about his investigation and confirmed that Adam had been spying on him.

Ryan warned Adam that his behavior was making Liza phisically ill but Adam just told him to leave.Later, after flahing back to when Liza had fainted and denied being pregnant, Adam schemed further and tried to find out if Liza was pregnant. Liza asked Hayley if Adam intended to steal Colby away from her, and Liza attacked Stuart when he enters, believing him to be Adam. Liza asked for Stuart and Hayley's support to beat Adam. Haley and Stuart said that would be difficult because they both loved Adam. Later Stuart confronted Adam.

Meanwhile, Marian visited Mia and asked her to convince Ryan to leave Pine Valley. Mia told Marian that she couldnt control her. Liza interrupted and slapped Mia, and Marian convinced Mia not to retaliate. When Mia asked her why Marian revealedthat Liza was pregnant just as Ryan walked through the door.
