Kendall takes over Greenlee's job temporarily, but Casey is unimpressed so far. Kendall even recruits Aidan to deliver a box of samples to a magazine in order to save her job.
Trey stops by the penthouse to check on Greenlee, who is hanging around in a ratty bathrobe and unkempt hair. Trey convinces her to go back to work, but when she arrives at the office, she finds Kendall has taken her place, and is not pleased. Kendall and Casey try to convince her that they can't get along without her. When Greenlee thinks about how work kept her away from Leo, she breaks down and storms out. Casey agrees to keep Kendall on, on a trial basis.
Trey also is less than pleased to find Kendall in Greenlee's office. Kendall insists she doesn't owe him any explanation. Trey then goes back to the penthouse, only to find out that Greenlee has packed a bag and left.
Tad meets up with Maria at the beach and tells her he wants to see David pay for everything he's done. He's fishing for information on the body that they dug up, but Maria has no answers for him.
At the police station, Anna tells David that although she believes he really didn't kill anyone, she doesn't want to know any of the details so she can't be made to testify against him. Kenny Adler, a lawyer that Anna hired, arrives to represent David. While they're talking, Jackson walks in with the Coroner's report (don't those things take, um, a while?). Tad and Maria also arrive in time to hear the autopsy results. Jack reveals that the body died of natural causes and was dead for at least six months before burial.
Tad demands to know why David went to all this trouble to keep the body secret, to which David replies (with THE best line of the day), "Oh yeah, Tad. I'm going to answer all YOUR questions." With David's release evident, Tad volunteers to dig up more dirt on Hayward. Jackson comes up with new charges to delay David's release for another 36 hours. Anna is suspicious, but David doesn't seem very worried.
