JR comes to see Kendall in an attempt to “sweet talk” her, consoling her about Ryan and all. At first it sounds like he has feelings for her and she buys that he genuinely cares about her. But they have a dispute as to the nature of their relationship. She says she wants more than just casual sex. He tells her he can offer her more and she should give him a chance. He tells her he’s in love with her. But she seems to know the only reason he’s professing to want a relationship is so that she will persuade Zach and Ethan to give him the money they’ve taken from him. He tells her she should at least go along with Erica’s plan. He tells her for the first time that Erica gave him some “incentive” to take Kendall away from Zach and she would help him get his monetary “reward”. When Kendall finds out that that is his primary reason for sweet-talking her, she tells him she never wants to see him again and she kicks him out of her home.

Babe goes to talk to Di/Dixie in an attempt to get her to help Jamie. She tells her that she cannot let Jamie get railroaded out of being able to work at the hospital. She needs her to attempt to persuade Palmer and JR to pull their heads out of their butts about Jamie. She also admits that she cannot let Jamie be cheated out of his opportunities to inherit Phoebe’s money and go to med school, if the only way he can have those things is to dump her. She confesses that she will bow out of her relationship with Jamie if that is the only way but she hopes that Dixie can help her so that she does not have to resort to that. She reminds Dixie that she has not visited Jamie in a long time. Di/Dixie admits that she has a problem in choosing loyalty between Jamie and JR. Babe tells her she knows JR has reason to distrust her and Jamie but she must realize that JR has gone too far with what he’s done to Jamie. She asks Di/Dixie if she’s just going to stand by and let Jamie’s life go down the toilet before her eyes. Di/Dixie admits there’s not a lot she can do.

Jamie tells his daddy what Palmer and JR are up to. Since Palmer is the head of the hospital board, he plans to prevent Jamie from so much as using the copy machine. He’s even willing to threaten Joe’s job if he lets Jamie work at the hospital. Tad tells Jamie that maybe he should just go to med school and work in a hospital somewhere out of town. Jamie says he refuses to let JR win and take him away from Babe and little Adam. Although Tad tells Jamie that he should know that Babe is willing to wait for him, Jamie says she shouldn’t have to do that. He’s going to make JR and Palmer pay for what they have done. He makes an inference to wanting to kill them. He admits that he was merely joking about wanting to commit murder but this time he’s going to take JR down. He informs Tad that JR paid Amanda off to attempt to break up him and Babe. He says he’s not going to take any more crap from JR.

Palmer hopes he can get Amanda to “disclaim” any liability to the hospital for her choice of letting Jamie treat her. But she makes it clear to him that she refuses to help them get Jamie in trouble. Jamie saved her life. From now on, she only wants Jamie to treat her if she ever is in the hospital again. She says she will sue the hospital for kicking Jamie out.

Adam slips a check for $10,000 under Krystal’s door. She asks him why he’d do such a thing. He tells her that since he has not yet signed it, she can either kick him out or cash it but cannot do both. She says she wonders why he’d want to offer her any “generosity” since she didn’t even come through on proving that Dixie was a fraud. He tells her that he is willing to pay her a good price if she can dig up the secrets between David and the woman who claims to be Dixie. Krystal reminds Adam that there’s no secret about her DNA. But he tells her that it’s a little too unrealistic that this woman is as nice to him as she is. The real Dixie would have relished having JR abandon him. He asks her if she would trust an enemy being so nice to her. She admits she would not. And he tells her he believes there are ways to dig up sufficient dirt on both of them.

Tad goes to confront Palmer about preventing his son from working in the hospital. Palmer tells Tad he can do whatever he wants because he’s in charge of the hospital board. Amanda hears their conversation and tells them that it’s ridiculous that Jamie should get in trouble since he save her life and it’s obvious that he was born to be a doctor. But Palmer reminds her that in order to practice medicine, Jamie first needs a medical license and he does not consult with the daughter of Janet from another planet. Amanda privately tells Tad that Jamie has what it takes to be a doctor and has to have an opportunity to go to med school. Tad tells Amanda that he knows that she is working with JR in order to break up Jamie and Babe. Amanda tries to assure Tad that regardless of what JR wants her to do, she would never double-cross Babe and Jamie. It was she who warned them about JR’s tricks. But he asks her about her “wheeling and dealing” with first JR, then Jamie, the Aiden, and then himself. And he tells her that between JR and Jamie is the last place she wants to be.

Josh Madden comes by Jamie’s after seeing an ad to sell his car. He tells him he remembers this car when Babe was driving it home from work. He finds out that Babe never told Jamie about their little “adventure” with the punks who tried to steal the car. He asks Jamie if he knows what Babe was willing to go through in order to protect that car for him.

Babe goes to talk to Amanda and asks her why she cannot trust Di/Dixie to do the right thing. Amanda says she does not trust that woman. But Babe protests that she’s really persuaded JR to be a nice guy and she might be her only hope for helping Jamie. She realizes that if Dixie does not come through, she will not prevent Jamie from having his happy ending even if she cannot have hers. At first Amanda milks the: “you must know that Jamie loves you more than anything and will never let you go” with Babe. But she agrees that the ultimate act of love for Jamie would be for Babe to let him go if he has to ruin his future in order to be with her. Privately, she is really happy to hear what she’s hearing.

Josh and Jamie laugh about the adventure Babe had with the idiots. Jamie says he wishes he could have been there to see it. Josh then asks him if the car is really important to him or if he and Babe taunted those idiots for nothing. Jamie replies that the car is important to him but not in that way.

David signs the check to Krystal and confirms that all she has to do in order to cash it is agree to get the dirt on David and Dixie. But she tells him she does not entirely trust him and must take it to the bank in order to agree to his plan.

Dixie goes to the bank and asks Alfred (whom the real Dixie knows) to reopen an old account for Dixie Cooney. Not recognizing her and not hearing the news that she’s come back, he tells her that nobody can open it for Dixie since she is dead. She tells him she is the real Dixie. He does not believe it. But Tad appears and confirms that it is really her. She explains that she survived the accident and had extensive plastic surgery. Alfred then agrees to get her account set up.

Jamie tells Josh that he wants to have a perfect wedding for Babe because she deserves it. And if he has to sell his car to do it, so be it. And whoever buys it is helping him by enabling her to have the wedding of her dreams. Josh agrees to buy the car. He tells them that he and Babe can make anything work.

Adam and Krystal arrive at the bank. They run into Tad and Dixie. Tad asks them what they are up to. Adam tells Tad that since he and Krystal have broken up, she does not owe him an explanation. Right then, masked gunmen come and hold up the bank. They demand that tellers empty their drawers and all customers empty their wallets and give them their jewelry. Tad gives them his watch. But Dixie has a problem giving them her jewelry. One of the thugs grabs her.
