All My Children Update for Thursday, 4-Aug-2005

Kendall overhears Lily talking to Zach about seeing Ryan. She demands that Lily tells her why she said that. But Zach is able to bluff and tell Kendall that Lily mainly thought she saw Ryan and believes in ghosts. Although Kendall seems to buy that, she is very disappointed that the real Ryan is supposedly gone and that there is no more hope, just like she “thought” there was when she got the “idea” that Ryan was behind the door to that shed. Little does she know she is NOT crazy. And neither is Lily. At first, Kendall bluffs to Zach about wanting to marry JR and dump him. But then she admits to him that she’s lying and decides that it might be too “complicated” if she divorces Zach. She hears thunder and indicates to Zach that it reminds her of the night when Miranda was born and they almost lost Bianca and everything went to hell.

Amanda is snooping around Wildwind, looking like she might have stolen something. Aiden is ready to catch her and have her arrested. But just then she gets a call from her wacko mother. And when he overhears the conversation where Janet demands that Amanda takes care of her and has no consideration for her daughter, he is “kinder” to her. But she does not appreciate it, believes that he is merely patronizing her, judging and stereotyping her as a “nutcase” just like her mother. And she tells him to go to hell.

Dani runs into Josh at the restaurant. They have a friendly conversation until Garette interrupts them. He assumes that Josh wants to use Dani and is not to be trusted. But she tells Garette he needs to stay out of her business and leave her friends alone. Garette doesn’t want to give up, though. He tells her he knows for a fact that Garette is a user and a taker. She admits that she was totally taken not only by Josh but by Reggie also. But he tells her life goes on and she can meet other guys.

Jamie tells Babe that he refuses to move out of town and go to school. He believes she wants to break their engagement just because he wants to sell the car. She tells him that she does not want him throwing his life down the toilet because of her. He’s give up too much for her. He’s stuck fixing engines, living in a dump, giving up going to med school and got himself arrested all because of her. She wants him to have better opportunities in his life. He says he refuses to end their engagement. She tells him they can stay together only under the condition that he moves out of town and finishes school somewhere where JR cannot mess with him. He tells her he refuses to let JR win. She tells him JR will never win as long as they are together. And he’s going to prove again to JR that he will not mess with him when he finishes school and gets his medical degree. But Jamie refuses those terms. Hearing that, she asks if he plans to stay here because he loves her. Or is it merely just so that he can stick it to JR.

JR keeps telling Dixie that Jamie betrayed him, took his wife, kidnapped his child and had him believing he was dead. She tells him that the way he obsesses over wanting to hurt Jamie hurts him more than it hurts Jamie. They go to the cabin where Babe delivered their baby as well as Miranda and saved Bianca’s and the two baby’s lives. She asks if he hates her that much knowing she did that. She reminds him that Babe was also a victim in beliving that their son was dead. But he reminds his mother that when Babe found their baby, she never “shared the joy” with him. She ran off with Jamie and wanted to spend the rest of their lives having him believing that his son died. But she reminds him taht on that night when his son was born, Jamie was right there searching. SHe tells him that he and Jamie are brothers and have always loved each other and cannot lose sight of that.
