All My Children Update for Monday, 15-Aug-2005

Dixie is out on the porch and remembers hearing Tad saying he believes there is somebody out there trying to kill her. And she remembers the phone conversation where she told somebody she would keep their “secret” only if they promise not to endanger the people she loves.

Krystal has snuck into Adam’s room and tells him that now is his chance to prevent her from killing his son for what he is doing to her daughter.

After Josh has gone to see babe to ask her what is “up” with why she asked to have sex with him, Jamie appears and tells Josh he’s a little baffled over why he is there. He reminds him the “car deal” is off. So why is he there?

Kendall reveals to Greenlee that although she cannot bring Ryan back, and cannot bring back the baby Greenlee already lost, she can give her another one. She can give birth for Greenlee and have her child.

Dr. Madden talks to Erica and Jack. Erica tells him that they have no solution for helping Greenlee. He informs them that right now Greenlee is very upset and can only see her loss. But that can change. He reveals to them that Greenlee does not have to carry a child. She can have another one, which someone else can carry.

When Greenlee hears Kendall say she can carry her baby, she does not believe it. She asks Kendall how she could be so spiteful to “tease” her with that. Kendall asks Greenlee if she really believes that she would lie about that and informs her that Dr. Madden told her it would be possible for Kendall to carry Greenlee’s egg with Ryan’s sperm. Greenlee tells Kendall she does not believe she can take a risk and get her hopes up like that again. But Kendall encourages her to believe that she is the ultimate risk taker and that she knows how to live on pure hope. And she asks Greenlee if she will let her do it.

Right when Dixie is remembering the phone call where she reveals she has a “secret”, JR comes up to her and startles her. He seems to know that something is up with her and asks her what is going on. He tells her he thinks he knows what is going on with her.

Adam tells Krystal if she threatens his son, he will snap her like a twig. Krystal says she will not stop until she knows that her baby doll is ok with the man she loves. Adam tells her that his son is only protecting his son. She says JR does not care about anybody except himself. Krystal tells him she knows that he and JR just want revenge upon her and her daughter. So she asks him what his price is. He tells her he has no control over JR’s behavior. He also reminds her that she screwed up everything when she told him she could prove that Dixie is a fraud. She’s out of the slammer. And what more does she want? He tells her he knows she is not Dixie and believes if he is to have any credence with his son, they need to find out once and for all who that woman really is. She reminds him she is working on that and attempting to get the truth from David Hayward. She tells him that she does not have time to worry about David or Dixie when her daughter is ready to throw away her entire life right now.

Babe explains to Jamie that she has discussed with Josh the problems they are having right now. Jamie asks why that would be any of Josh’s business. He tells Josh he knows nothing about them. Babe apologizes to Josh for getting him involved in her problems. He leaves. Jamie seems to know there is something up. He asks if it has something to do with her calling off the wedding. Or does it have something to do with Josh?

Dr. Madden informs Jack that he sees having a surrogate to carry Greenlee’s egg with Ryan’s sperm is an option, since he knows for a fact that there is still some more of Mr. Lavery’s samples in his clinic. Jack asks Dr. madden if he’s mentioned this to Greenlee. Dr. Madden says not yet. Jack says good and if he ever does, he will be sorry. Erica asks Jack to calm down and realize there’s nothing wrong with Greenlee knowing that Dr. Madden tells Jack that his daughter is an intelligent young woman and should be informed of this option.

Greenlee asks Kendall if she is really up to going through with this for 9 months. She also admits that she’s had trust issues in letting Kendall borrow her shoes. And a uterus is way beyond that. They then conclude that maybe this is a crazy and unrealistic plan. But Kendall affirms to Greenlee that she really is serious about doing it if Greenlee would let her.

After Josh has left their home, Babe tells Jamie that Josh is not a “problem”. He is their friend. Jamie tells her he knows she called off their wedding. But he refuses to call it off. He does not buy any of her attempts to get rid of him. There’ s nothing she can do to make him go away. She tells him he has so much love and trust in his heart. He asks if they are all set. She confirms that they are all set. And they kiss.

Krystal reminds Adam that her daughter is very close to ending up with less than she’s ever had before because his son will not let up. He tells her it’s not his fault. She reminds him that what her daughter is doing now is all about love. She used to love his son. She tells him it used to be easy when Babe was a child. All she had to do was kiss the booboo and then send her back out into the game. But now it’s not that simple. He tells her that she is manipulating him by looking like she is crying.

JR tells Dixie that she must know that everything is ok now that she is back with them. They now have each other and they have little Adam. And that is good enough for him. He tells her he needs to go to bed. But she tells him she needs to “catch some fresh air” and is not ready to turn in for the night yet. Right then, Aiden enters and asks her if she is enjoying her freedom. He sounds like he might know something about her secret.

At the hospital, after noticing Jack’s discontentment with Dr. Madden’s plan, Erica asks if she can talk to Dr. Madden alone. She tells Dr. Madden that she knows Jack is distraught about his daughter Greenlee and he unfortunately took it out on him. Dr. Madden tells Erica that he will not let anything stop him from doing whatever he can to improve the quality of somebody’s life. She tells him she really appreciates that. But she knows that Jack loves Greenlee and wants what is best for her. She admits that she had such high hopes for Greenlee and Ryan and their baby. They had such a rough year and she thought the baby would save them. He explains to her that Greenlee’s body rejected the fetus the same way an immune system rejects a disease. She admits that he is a man of science while she is a woman of emotion. He tells her that all pregnancies are completely different. She admits to him that she once had a miscarriage (or abortion?). And right then, she notices his “expression”. Does HE KNOW SOMETHING SHE does NOT about her supposedly terminated pregnancy?

Kendall is still in Greenlee’s room with her. They make jokes about the vending machine junk food. Greenlee says thank you to Kendall for encouraging her to know that there is hope. She makes a joke about how she can now count Kendall’s stretch marks during her pregnancy, the way Kendall joked when Greenlee was pregnant.

Right when Babe is bartending, Josh comes and tells her he’d like a large glass of “revenge sex on the rocks” to go.

After Aiden has found Dixie, she assumes that Tad must have put him up to finding her because he is very paranoid. Aiden tells her he knows she is in trouble. It has something to do with her ex boyfriend.

Babe attempts to tell Josh something about her situation with JR. She tells him that maybe she deserves what she’s gotten. But she does not want it to be coming down on Jamie as well. If he had not been with her, he would not be suffering the way he is. Hearing that, Josh concludes that she is telling him this is not revenge sex, it’s “get Jamie to dump me” sex. She says it’s “give Jamie and opportunity to be a doctor”. She tells him that she will not prevent Jamie from having a happy ending. She says she still plans on getting her son back. But in the mean time, she will not prevent Jamie from getting what he deserves. So she asks Josh if he will not “do this” for Jamie. Or at least do it for her.

After Erica “reveals” to Dr. Madden the secret of the pregnancy she lost, she tells him that she needs to ask him to respect Jack’s wishes and not broach the top of Greenlee having a baby to her. He gives her his words that Greenlee will not hear it from him.

Kendall reminds Greenlee about all they’ve been through together. She reflects that she once loved Ryan and gave that up so that he could be with Greenlee. And she says now is the time for her to carry a child.

Hearing Babe’s plan, Josh asks her if she’s considered other ways to get Jamie what he deserves. She says he must realize that cheating on Jamie in front of him was not her first choice. It’s horrible. She wishes there was another choice. But she needs to do what she needs to do. It looks like she does have a connection with Josh. But he tells her he will not do it. This reeks with trouble he says and he is so out of this. She then asks him if he will keep all of this a secret.

In response to Aiden’s asking her what is going on, Dixie tells him as much as she’d like to get him to leave her alone by telling him what he wants, she has nothing to tell him. He tells her that she has a security system while staying at the Chandler house. He can provide her with protection also. But she tells him she is not interested in talking to him.

Krystal tells Adam that she knows they have one thing in common. She knows he loves his son as much as she loves her daughter. And they agree to work together. Right then, JR walks in on them and tells his dad it’s finally happened. He’s hit rock bottom.

Dixie again has her mysterious phone call.

Kendall and Greenlee agree to go along with their plan. Kendall tells Greenlee a world without Ryan and his baby is crazy and does not make sense. Jack and Erica have no clue what is going on in that room. But Jack notices that Greenlee is “back”. He says he doesn’t know what Kendall did. But it worked.
