All My Children Update for Tuesday, 16-Aug-2005

Ryan comes back to talk to Erin, remembering that she is the only person, besides Zach who knows that he is really alive. He urges her not to tell anybody that he is alive. She tells him that's fine with her because as far as she's concerned, he's dead. He tells her he'd like to be able to visit her. But she still will not forgive him. She does, however, question him about why he'd want everybody he's ever known to believe he's dead. Knowing he had a wife and friends, she asks why he would not want them to know that he is alive. He tells her he realizes he is just as sick as their father and brothers and needs to stay dead in order to protect everybody he knows.

Greenlee and Kendall happily go to talk to Dr. Madden about Kendall carrying a baby for Greenlee. He tells them it's fine with him if it's ok with Kendall. He warns Kendall that he wants her to get counseling and do all the things he asks pregnant women to do, such as no booze or coffee or chocolates. She agrees. He also warns them that there are no guarantees about what will happen in the pregnancy. Jack, Reggie and Lily are happy to see that Greenlee is suddenly happy when she was so depressed not long ago. ANd neither knows the reason why.

Tad reveals to Dixie that he went all the way to Thailand to track down and meet her ex-boyfriend, Kevin. ANd he found out Kevin is rich, a geek, not a threat to anyone, and not over Dixie. He tells her, however, that he still believes that there is something she is not telling him. And sure enough, there is.

Josh goes to talk to Babe about her "plan" in the morning, noticing that she's been working all night at the bar. She tells him she's going all out to get Jamie to break up with her. She knows it's an ugly situation. But she won't prevent him from going to med school. Amanda appears and reveals to Josh that Babe asked for her help. Josh reveals to Babe that Amanda cannot be trusted. He believes the only reason Amanda would want to help Jamie to break up with Babe is so that she can have him. Amanda admits to Babe that that is true.
